Anthony Woods is running in a special election for California's 10th Congressional District and he has a real chance of winning. Anthony has an incredibly inspiring story. He's a native son who graduated from Westpoint & Harvard with honors, served 2 tours in Iraq where he commanded a platoon, was awarded the Bronze Star, and then was kicked out of the military under DADT when he, like our friend Lt. Dan Choi, decided it was unacceptable for him to continue to lie about who he was, especially after giving so much to his country. Not if, but when we make Anthony Woods the next Congressperson representing CA-10, he will not only be the first openly gay, African American Representative in Congress. He will also be the first Congressperson who has been kicked out of the military because of the unconstitutional "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. One of the most important messages that Harvey Milk ever delivered to our community is that nobody will ever fight for our rights more than ourselves. We can elect straight Democrats who make promises to our community until we're blue in the face and always have to wonder what will happen when the rubber meets the road. But when we elect one of our own, there will never be a question of where they'll be when it comes to our rights. Please help in any way you can.
