State by state we have to hit the Republicans hard. I have started pushing the �Sweep Movement� designed to Sweep Republican Corruption from office. It started with the Sweep NY State movement, aiming to turn the entire NY Conrgessional representation blue. I then added Sweep Iowa, Indiana and Nevada. My fifth effort is Sweep New Mexico. New Mexico has been so delicately balanced in the last two presidential elections. I want to see New Mexico reject Republican lies and corruption and turn solid blue. Let�s return to the progressive and populist ideals of the Democratic Party and remind the government that this land belongs to you and me�from coast to coast.

The Republican incumbent, Heather Wilson has taken more money from Exxon/Mobil’s PAC than any other New Mexico politician – $5,000 already in this cycle, and $27,000 since 2000. She took $4,000 from Halliburton’s PAC in the 2004 cycle. She is the EPITOME of what I call a corrupt Halliburton Republican.
The Congressional race in the 1st district is the hottest race in New Mexico in the 2006 cycle. The Democratic opponant is two-term state Attorney General Patricia Madrid. An extraordinarily well-qualified candidate, Madrid seems poised to be a leading Democrat from the West.
Wilson is a canny and experienced campaigner and will not be easy to beat. This year’s favorable electoral climate provides a unique opportunity to take Wilson out with the most formidable candidate she has ever faced.
This is one of the naiton’s top races in 2006.
