It looks as though the House will be won by the Democrats. However, to be fully effective in stopping Bush and Co., the dems will also need to be in control of the Senate as well. WE ARE SO CLOSE! The balance for control of the Senate could fall either way. I have personally vetted these candidates using the following criteria: they are all Senatorial candidates in very tight races based on polls 2-3 weeks from election day, they are behind or in very similiar financial situations to their Republican opponents, and in most cases, are not ‘rubber stamp Lieberman’ Democrats. The money they have in their coffers from now to election day could very well decide the result of their races and just ONE lost race could give the Republicans the Senate. PLEASE CONSIDER GIVING TO THESE CANDIDATES. THANK YOU.

Claire is polling neck-in-neck with her opponent, but is behind in funds….considered one of the most important races.

Webb is behind George Allen in polls and fundraising by a very small margin. Virginia, a usual republican stronghold is now within reach of the democrats. It helps when your opponent, the current Senator Allen, makes “off color” remarks on video and has a history of embracing the ideals of Jim Crow. James Webb is the author of six novels, is a decorated Vietnam veteran and served as Secretary of the Navy.

Ford is now ahead in the polls by a thin margin…the rascially charged ad has been pulled, but it backfired in the republicans’ faces. Help keep Ford out front…

Amy is clearly in the lead now! I’ve left her in the list because she is one of only a few dynamic women in the 2006 elections for senate. If only more of the senate were filled with great women like Amy.
