Please support my friend, Rosemary Palmer! Rosemary is a former journalist and teacher who became politically active in 2005 after her son, Edward ‘Augie’ Schroeder, was killed in Iraq. She’s smart, thoughtful, and would be a perfect of example of what a member of congress should be – a person who shows up and works hard every day representing the people who sent her to Washington.
While we are facing an uphill battle as we try to defeat the incumbent, Dennis Kucinich, in a Democratic primary, we are quickly gaining the support of some rather significant people and groups across the country.
As we move closer to the March 2008 primary, the heavy lifting of the campaign will fall on the backs and feet of our volunteers. As Campaign Manager, I can’t let them down. I need to make sure they are energized! I need to make sure they have clear instructions! Most importantly, I need to make sure they have full bellies! Anyone who has ever worked on a campaign will tell you campaigns run on two things – money and pizza. Today, I’m asking you to help provide the money, so I can provide the pizza.
Can you help me (and Rosemary’s volunteers) out?
Your contribution of $10 pays for a piping hot, Cleveland-style cheese pizza.
$15 pays for an extra large with extra cheese.
$20 pays for an extra large with pepperoni.
$25 pays for an extra large supreme.
$30 pays for a couple of pizzas and a case of cold soda.
$50 pays for four large supremes and two cases of soda.
$100 pays for ten supremes, some wings, soda, and a nice tip for the driver.
So, whaddya say? Can you help? When the time comes to spend your contribution, we’ll send you a note (and maybe even a photo) of the pizza you paid for. We’ll even tell you how it was. If you’d like, we’ll even save you a slice.
