On February 20th, John “100 more years of war” McCain will be traveling to Illinois’ 14th CD to raise $200,000 for Iraq War/George Bush/John McCain supporting Jim Oberweis, who is running against our guy, Bill Foster to replace ex-Speaker, Denny Hastert, in the March 8th Special Election. This is the first Congressional race of the 2008 cycle and it is a Dead Heat.
The fund raiser will cost people $1000 – $2300 a plate to attend.
We in the Netroots don’t need no stinkin’ plates…we have numbers. We would like to see how many plates we can raise for Bill. Our goal is to have 1000 people give $5.00 (or more) and buy Bill five plates of campaign food to help him win this seat.
