Hello,

Hope this message finds you and your families well. we are writing today to ask you to help make a difference at a defining moment for one of the most important civil rights issues -- Marriage Equality.

Here in Maine, Governor John Baldacci signed into law a freedom to marry bill overwhelmingly approved by the Senate and House. Maine is the fifth state to end the exclusion of gay couples from marriage. Opponents of equality are aggresively working to reverse this momentous law -- just like they did in California last November. If we suffer another loss like the one in California, it stands to undermine marriage equality efforts across the country .

In our minds this is discrimination; We cannot stand by on the sidelines. We hope you will join us by getting involved and making a contribution to the campaign.
