On Monday, March 17, a group of Democratic congressional challengers will join together to present “A Responsible Plan For Ending The War In Iraq,” a bold and ambitious effort to change the conversation on national security, fix the damage of the past five years, and restore the checks and balances necessary to prevent such catastrophes from happening in the future. Developed in consultation with military experts such as Major General Paul Eaton, Brigadier General John Johns and former Undersecretary of Defense Lawrence Kolb, this Responsible Plan presents a blue print for withdrawing our troops from Iraq while implementing the kind of political, economic and diplomatic surge that can restore peace to the region.
