He has plenty of experience raising big money for campaigns. I really believe he can win! He's also openly gay. Now we all know there are gay elected officials in Washington. It's just that they're almost all closeted. So Jim's honesty is refreshing and inspiring. And he's bold -- he got in the race when no one else would. Brad Miller, Grier Martin and Kay Hagan all said no. But after Jim started making headlines, Kay changed her mind and entered the race. So, who to support in the primary? Polling shows they match up almost identically against Dole. Kay's a woman, which is cool, but she seems to be basically a typical Southern Dem insider. Definitely not progressive. From what I hear, the state and national party establishment is behind Kay. I'm behind Jim. I just joined Jim's Ten Squad which means I gave $10 and I committed to find nine friends to do the same. Will you be one of those ten? It's do-able for a reason: the number of donors is more important than big dollars. I hope you'll feel as inspired by Jim as I do.
