The Merkley Campaign is holding a contest to see which Merkley staffer can raise the most money for Jeff. I want to win! This isn't just about bragging rights (although I must admit it would be fun to gloat), this is about helping send Jeff to the Senate! The more money I raise for Jeff, the better chance we have at sending him to Congress.

Jeff deserves a chance to represent all Americans the way he has represented Oregonians as House Speaker. Jeff led the most productive, greenest, most labor friendly and progressive session my state has seen in decades. Jeff will stand up to the powerful special interests and always put the best interest of working Americans first.

As of right now, Democrats do not have a large enough majority in the Senate to pass real economic reforms or end the Iraq War. By electing Jeff Merkley to the Senate, we not only increase our numbers, we also send an incredibly talented progressive Democrat to the Senate. Jeff will lead the charge by working to reform our energy policy, fight climate change, create livable wage jobs, end the war in Iraq and restore our moral integrity abroad.
