Ann Hraychuck

WI-HD-28

Ann’s Website
Ann won a significant victory in 2006, defeating an anti-education incumbent so anti-student that he actually made a point of eating a sandwich in font of anti-tuition hunger strikers.
As a former county employee (and former sheriff of Polk County), Ann understands the need for a vibrant public sector. As Representative of a primarily rural northern district that has seen high wage jobs disappear, she understands that access to higher education is the only path to restoring prosperity.

Phil Garthwaite

WI-HD-49

Phil’s Website
Phil defeated a real enemy of education in 2006, becoming the first Democrat to represent Grant County in over a generation. Phil is a true progressive and a true friend of higher education. Thus, he has drawn FOUR far-right wing opponents.
Whoever wins the Republican primary is likely to be the recipient of big money from WMC and the Realtors, so let’s start now by raising small money to keep Phil in office.

Jeff Smith

WI-HD-93

Jeff was elected in a huge upset in 2006 largely due to high turnout among UW Eau Claire students. He defeated one of the most staunchly anti-UW legislators in the state. Unfortunately, his former opponent still had $70,000 in the bank at the end of the election and he thinks he can buy his old seat back.
Give generously to keep Jeff in the Assembly.

The 12th Senate District is the only Democrat-held open seat in the Senate. It is a 50/50 district, and we need to make sure Jim comes out on top.

The LaCrosse area is one of the most swing parts of this swing state. 2008 is a chance to put a Democrat in the Senate who understands that our public universities and technical colleges are the key to job growth in her district.
