Thanks to the gains of 2006 and 2008, along with some political surprises, the Senate's Democratic caucus has 60 members. But don't get too excited, as it's a soft 60. From former Republicans (like Arlen Specter) to LieberDems (like, well, Joe Lieberman) to conservative Democrats, we can't stop every filibuster that Republicans mount. We still need to pick up seats to further slow down Republican obstructionism in the Senate.

Most vulnerable Republican Senators have simply opted for retirement this time around (they see the writing on the wall), creating open seats and giving Democrats an outstanding opportunity to further Expand the Map! So chip in a few bucks and help ensure that Democrats grow their majority in the Senate!
