We need someone who understands business, and how to strengthen the economy and create jobs. We need someone who understands the difference between an economy based on resource extraction vs value creation. We need someone who understands the role of angel and venture financing in small business based economies. We need someone who can help revitalize our educational system, not just falsely promise to fully fund an archaic model. We need someone who can help untangle the mess of Oregon public financing. We need someone who cares about the environment but won't mortgage our state's future with unecessary green subsidies. We need someone who can build bridges and create positive solutions for Oregon's future. We need an outsider who is willing to take political risks to accomplish changes that matter, not a politician who is beholden to special interests. Steve Shields is that candidate.
