An organizer from a presidential candidate's campaign told me that we are fortunate to have a permanent county Democratic Headquarters. We are fortunate; many counties are no so lucky. However, keeping headquarters up and running is hard, expensive work.

Not only do we have mortgage payments, utility payments and phone/internet bills to pay, we have to buy office supplies, paper products (TP, paper towels, copy paper, etc...) and other supplies before we can even start to help our yearly slate of Democratic candidates. Our fax machine takes FOUR different kinds of ink, we need a new paper cutter, each page printed or copied on our copier/printer costs us (which adds up quick), and we would like new phone bank phones as well as two new desktop computers. These are but a few of the needs that we have right now.
