The 68th AD PAC does great work toward turning Orange County blue.

They were a part of my almost winning the Assembly Seat in 2008 and will be working hard for the party's candidate in 2010. But their activities are even more about party building than specific campaigns.

They do a LOT of voter registration, public outreach and voter information activities.

The biggest event each year is the 4 day Strawberry Festival in Garden Grove. The PAC organizes, pays for and staffs a table at the festival providing the party a friendly postive face in the heart of Orange County. There we do voter registiration, give cold water and other things to some of the 250,000 festival goers and distribute information about our candidates and the party and information of a public service nature.

The PAC also does booths at the Stanton Festival and at the Vietnamese-American Tet Festival. These too are great opportunities to build the image of the party in Orange County.

Beyond its own events, the PAC strongly supports other events in the County every year. The Democratic Party of Orange County booth at the Orange County Fair is important and we do our part. In my view, One of biggest events is the Huntington Beach (Surf City) 4th of July Parade. We do a lot to support the party's participation with a float and band in this event that is the largest 4th of July parade west of the Mississippi. It draws over 300,000 to the parade route and perhaps millions to view on television. Our presence (or absence) is very much noticed and we have won many awards in past years.

The PAC can really use your contributions now to continue these and other activities, to turn OC blue and strengthen our majorities in the state legislature. Please help.
