There is only one way to end the war in Iraq: elect leaders with the political will to stand up to Republican fearmongers and not back down until every soldier is home.

Lt. Col. Charlie Brown won the DFA Grassroots All-Star endorsement in 2007 because he will not back down. He won’t just be one more vote to end the war; Charlie will draw on his 26-year military career to lead the fight in Congress. Having dedicated much of his military career to intelligence gathering, including coordinating spy flights over Iraq, Charlie was among the first to speak out over the flawed intelligence that distracted America from the fight against Al Qaeda in Afghanistan, and got us into Iraq.

Charlie’s led by example, standing up for the comprehensive solutions America needs, while championing the cause of our veterans when they return home. Charlie knows clean energy independence, balanced budgets, secure borders, real oversight of government contractors, and better utilization of America’s diplomatic and economic strength, not just our military power, are needed to defeat the threats of the 21st century.
