Debbie Cook is a passionate supporter for using renewable energy to create new local jobs and to also reduce our dependence on foreign oil, thus helping us to get out of the occupation of Iraq. Debbie, as Mayor of Huntington Beach, has demonstrated that she is an effective community-builder, is ethical, fair, just, and responsible. As a leader of various environmental groups, Debbie has clearly shown that she will work for a sustainable environment and preservation of parks to keep our children healthy with cleaner water and cleaner air. That is why she received the Sierra Club endorsement.
