Wisconsin works because we do!

Now let's make Wisconsin politics work for us.

In 2008, we have the opportunity to build a pro-labor, pro-education, and pro-UW majority in the state legislature. The stakes could not be higher for graduate students, grad student workers, and members of the UW community.

Instead of an out-of-touch legislature, we can have a government that works for us. Imagine a Wisconsin where universities are funded to be the world-class institutions they can and should be. Imagine a state where domestic partner benefits are not caught up in petty squabbling. Imagine a Wisconsin where a pro-labor, pro-education, pro-UW agenda can actually move in our state legislature.

We can do it - we can make it happen this year. We are only three seats from our majority in the State Assembly. And six of the top-tier battleground seats are right in our own backyard. While the TAA Political Education Committee and Political Action Committee will be working to elect our candidates, we need your help and support.

This page gives you a way to contribute to our efforts and to the candidates that we have endorsed. Even a few dollars here and there from a meager grad student's stipend (did I mention that the state legislature has a huge impact on our contract?) can make a big difference when we all add up together collectively.
