Image of Rick Noriega

Rick Noriega

TX-Sen (Map)

This Senate seat is held by Republican John Cornyn. The Democrat running is Lt. Colonel Rick Noriega, a State Representative in the Texas House. Noriega has a great shot of winning this seat with his great background and with Cornyn's unpopularity. The one thing Noriega needs is money. Texas is second is size only to Alaska and has way more people to reach. This is a winnable seat but only if cash comes quickly.

Image of Glenn Melancon

Glenn Melancon

TX-04 (Map)

The fourth district is held by Republican Ralph Hall. The Democrat is the 2006 nominee, Glenn Melancon. Hall is a party switcher who changed his affiliation from Democrat to Republican in 2004. Due to this, he has decent support among conservative Democrats making him very tough to beat in this R+16 district. He faced a edxpensive primary but still has more than 37 times the amount of money Melancon has and thats after Melancon improved his minuscule fundraising from 2006. This race will need a ton of cash to make it competetive.

Image of Michael Skelly

Michael Skelly

TX-07 (Map)

The 7th district is held by Republican John Culberson. The Democrat is businessman Michael Skelly. Skelly has been a complete surprise with his fundraising outraising Culberson in the first quarter and he boasts nearly 3 times as much cash on hand. Skelly will need that and more if he hopes to overcome the lean of this R+16 district but even if he can't, making the NRCC spend some of their few resources here would simply make my day.

The 10th district is held by Republican Michael McCaul. the Democrat here is The judge on the popular television show Texas Justice Larry Joe Doherty. Doherty has had some great fundraising to date and despite a semi-competetive yet expensive primary, he still has almost half as much money as the incumbent. Send him a few dollars more to make this race even harder on the Republicans.

Image of Roger Waun

Roger Waun

TX-13 (Map)

The 13th district is held by Republican Mac thornberry. The Democrat here is 2006 nominee Roger Waun. Waun ran an underfunded race here in 2006 and got blownout and his fundraising hasn't improved much. Without significant funds, Waun won't be competetive here and with this R+ 25 district, its not likely he will be even with significant funds.

Chet Edwards

TX-17 (Map)

Chet Edwards is the congressman from the 17th congressional district. This district is is dark red territory clocking in at R+18. While Edwards has one of the more conservative voting records in the house, the fact that he sits in this staunchly conservative district means that he is better than any Republican the seat would hold.

Image of Nick Lampson

Nick Lampson

TX-22 (Map)

Nick Lampson is the Congressman from the 22nd district. This is heavily Republican territory. The R+15 PVI shows this. Lampson won this seat as the sole benficiary of Tom DeLay's scandal ridden tenure as Speaker of the House and when he resigned, the write-in campaign of Shelley Sekula-Gibbs failed to take hold and Lampson is now in a positon to defend this district. The Republicans had a bitter and expensive primary and Lampson holds the early advantage but it will literally take millions to hold this seat so send him a few bucks to help keep the Republicans out and in the cold.
