Texas bloggers have formed the TexBlog PAC to effectively harness the power, energy, talent and financial resources of the online, progressive community to make Texas a better place by electing Democratic candidates at all levels of state and local government.
We are ready to do more than complain about the Republican era of corruption and cronyism – we want to end it! We are prepared to elect a Democratic majority to the Texas House of Representatives, and forever put an end to the Tom Craddick reign of “absolute” power. Today, we put our money where our mouse is.

Joseph Moody

TX-HD-78

Joe Moody is committed to a better Texas. After working on his father, Bill Moody's campaign, Joe went to the District Attorney’s office, working hand-in-hand with law enforcement in the prosecution of a wide variety of cases.
Joe’s life-long work with families and organizations in our community inspired him to run for office so he can better serve El Pasoans. He is ready to represent the community with the same passion, energy and enthusiasm he’s offered El Paso throughout his life.

Sherrie Matula

TX-HD-129

Sherrie Matula is a long-time educator and community activist. Matula is committed to improving the community’s economic health and vitality and will focus her efforts on: fighting for better public education; addressing environmental concerns impacting quality of life; and providing relief from the skyrocketing cost of living in Texas.
Matula’s passion for public education stems from her years as a science teacher and advocate. Having lobbied on the state and federal level for public schools, she brings an in-depth understanding of the problems facing school districts and can provide smart solutions to public school financing. She will be a strong voice for parents, teachers, and students, and TexBlog PAC is committed to making sure that voice is in Austin for the 81st legislative session.

Diana Maldonado

TX-HD-52

We chose Maldonado because TexBlog PAC is actively working to end the era of one-party Republican rule in Texas by electing Democratic candidates at every level. Texas families cannot afford another two years of Republican corruption, cronyism, and cuts. Maldonado will fight to improve public education, expand access to quality health care, create responsible transportation policies and protect our environment. She will be a voice that represents the people of her District, and we’re proud to endorse her.

Robert Miklos

TX-HD-101

During the March primary, Democrats in HD 101 turned out in record numbers, outnumbering Republicans two to one. TexBlog PAC is particularly excited about Robert Miklos because his campaign has put together an aggressive field program, building on the monemtum from the primary. Miklos himself has personally pledged to knock on 10,000 doors, and is well on his way to exceeding that goal.
