I know it seems like the last election just ended, but the next one is already underway. In 2010, Californians will make an important choice in selecting a leader that can carry us forward. I believe that person is San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom, a man with a proven record for doing the right thing time and time again.

Mayor Newsom is one of the leading voices in environmental reform, implementing various programs to reduce his city's carbon footprint. In San Francisco he has created the only universal health care system in the country; he was recently picked to head the U.S. Conference of Mayors Task Force on Health Care Reform. Mayor Newsom has been for marriage equality from the beginning, and he is committed to budget reform in Sacramento to end the disastrous political gridlock we have seen for years.
