In 2007, Republicans and a few Democrats elected Tom Craddick as Speaker of the Texas House. His selection as leader of the People’s House was bad for Texas and bad for each member’s individual district. His out-of-touch ideological stances and fear-driven political agenda has created the most divisive state house in Texas history.
Too many Democrats are too close to Craddick, and their districts deserve better. Craddick Democrats Kevin Bailey (Houston), Kino Flores (McAllen) and Dawnna Dukes (Austin) have each drawn viable opponents in the Democratic Primary.
We need your help to get these three good Democrats elected this March.
The Craddick Democrats will be financed by the same Republicans that swiftboated John Kerry, advocate for vouchers, and cut kids off CHIP. We need your financial help to counter their Republican support.
