Brian Keeler

Blogger Brian Keeler ("nyBri"), one of the founders of the The Albany Project, now seeks to go to Albany to better enable Spitzer to enact his agenda of reform.

Because District 41, once a Republican stronghold, was carried by John Kerry in the 2004 presidential election and the GOP registration edge has now almost entirely eroded, Keeler has a realistic chance of an upset here in 2008.

Tim Merrick

Tim Merrick is a progressive Democrat in the mold of Eliot Spitzer, who seeks to revitalize the economy in New York’s North Country through expanding property tax reform, as well as bringing increased economic development funds to the region.

Currently, District 45 is represented by Betty Little, an ultra-conservative Bush Republican who’s voting record has been very counterproductive to the reform desperately needed in Albany. Little has opposed non-partisan gerrymandering, the Empire State Wage Act, expanding New York’s bottle bill, and allowing small businesses to be able to purchase prescriptions in bulk.

Please help Tim Merrick to bring much needed change to Albany, as well the North Country.
