Deeds is a rare political animal, a true "average guy" coming from a small rural county and who defeated two better-known and better-funded candidates. With Virginia likely to gain a Congressional seat in Congress after the 2010 Census, Democrats everywhere need to invest in a Democratic victory in November so they have a voice in the redistricting process.
