Walberg Watch

Congressman Tim Walberg (R-Tipton), a far-right conservative funded by out-of-state interests, the Club for Growth, and Right to Life, is a poor representative for the moderate MI-07. When he's not voting against raising the minimum wage, or voting to support escalating the war in Iraq, or voting against transparency in government, he's being mocked by Stephen Colbert on Comedy Central's Colbert Report for comparing Iraq to Detroit.

Needless to say, Walberg has got to go. Spending $1.2 million in 2006, he barely won against an organic farmer who spent less than $60,000, and Walberg has already attracted the attention of the DCCC. This freshman representative should be on everyone's target list, after defeating a principled, moderate Republican Congressman Joe Schwarz in the 2006 primary and taking his anti-tax and anti-Separation of Church and State agenda to Washington.

For much, much more information, check out Walberg Watch. But first, why not contribute to Walberg's defeat? Anything you can give to the eventual Democratic nominee will help make this race the most competitive of 2008.
