Music for Democracy, a new Political Action Committee dedicated to creating positive change and raising voter awareness of crucial issues, is hosting a party to celebrate the launch of MFD's website, musicfordemocracy.org. Please join us for an evening of amazing music, celebration, and community.

The night will be packed with a diverse lineup of bluegrass, classical, folk, rock, and electronic music, and will go non-stop until 4am. Admission will be by donation to Music for Democracy. Please tell all your friends, and help us raise the money MFD needs to launch the next generation of progressive American politics.

Music for Democracy is a grassroots organization of musicians, music- industry professionals, politicians, and music fans united by the conviction that America needs a new kind of politics to move forward toward a more peaceful, economically robust, and environmentally sustainable future. Our goal is to support candidates for federal office and facilitate public awareness campaigns that advance the agenda of progressive musicians, their fans, and the music community at large. MFD connects both well-known politicians, musicians and young upstart bands with a nationwide network of peers and fans who are passionately engaged in the electoral process.
We believe that America is at a major crossroads in history. It's time to take our country back from the culture of cynical and divisive politics, and transform business as usual in Washington. MFD will only be able to achieve these lofty goals with the support of people like you. We believe that the tools of the digital age have enormously empowered individuals and grassroots organizations like us to make a decisive difference on a national and global scale.
For too long, politics has been the exclusive domain of the wealthy, the well-connected, and the powerful. Now, with strategic use of technology like the Internet, social networks, viral videos and other hands-on media, we can amplify the power of voters like you to help regain control of our government, steer the nation in a more positive direction, and heal our democracy. We keep our overhead low and our work ethic high so that we're worthy of your hard-earned support.
