Nearly 50 million Americans have no health care coverage and fifteen thousand more will lose their coverage every day should we fail to enact meaningful health care reform.  Health care costs continue to rise at a rate three times higher than wages. Something needs to happen to fix health care in this country, and I believe we should do it now and do it right.

Because I am committed to fighting for a smarter, less expensive and more humane system that ensures choice, guarantees quality and doesn't mortgage the future of our children, I will introduce legislation this fall that would establish a "Medicare for All Americans," single-payer system.

Here are two video clips that make my case.  One is of me trying to explain the facts of the situation to a conservative talk show host, and the other is of me focusing on an even more wrong-headed audience - my Republican Colleagues.
