If you are like me, you want to see a generational realignment in electoral politics this fall. After that you hope to see as progressive a congress as we can get.
Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District is a safe seat for Democrats this fall. It is so safe that we do not need to go with a moderate here. We can go with the only truly progressive candidate in the race, Jared Polis.
Jared endorsed Obama—the only candidate who took a stand on the presidential primary. Like Obama, he is independent; he takes no pac or lobbyist contributions. And he is the only candidate in the race who favors public financing of electoral campaigns.

He is running a green campaign.
He has experience in business, non-profits and in elective office. After six years on the Board of Education, Jared is prepared to reform NCLB.

Jared faces a tough primary on August 12th. His opponents represent the old politics in which pacs and lobbyists trump the interests of voters and students.
