Local elected officials in Nashville and Memphis have voted to reappoint the two Black Tennessee Dems that Republicans expelled from the state legislature last week.
To stay, they will both have to campaign in and win special elections that will be scheduled in the coming months.

Tennessee State Reps. Justin Jones and Justin Pearson joined protests after kids were shot and lawmakers refused to take action or to even listen -- not so different from the sit-in John Lewis led on the floor of the U.S. House in 2016. Republicans in the legislature expelled them for it.
