No Sign of Slowing Down: Small-Dollar Donors Raise $586 Million In Q2 2026

Housing costs are climbing. Grocery bills are sky high. Republicans can’t even agree among themselves on how to fix it, despite promising to in the last election. Small-dollar donors see the gap between what was promised and what’s being delivered, and they’re doing something about it.

In Q2 2026, small-dollar donors raised $586 million for Democratic campaigns and causes, a 14% increase over the same quarter in 2022. Hundreds of thousands of people gave, more than 500,000 donors for the first time, at an average contribution of $39, because they believe Democrats in office can actually deliver what this country needs.

“People are giving because they’re paying attention. They see what’s not getting done, and they’re not waiting around for someone else to fix it. These numbers tell us that our community is showing up and fighting back, and ActBlue’s job is to make sure they have what they need when they do,” said ActBlue CEO Regina Wallace-Jones.

Building the Whole Ballot

Over 20,000 campaigns and organizations used ActBlue to support their efforts in Q2 2026, a 27% increase over Q2 2022. That includes school board seats, county commissions, and state legislatures. These are races that don’t make national headlines, but they decide who controls redistricting, who funds public schools, and who answers when utility bills spike.

That’s not an accident. This year’s redistricting efforts across the South made it clear how much power sits at the local level, and small-dollar donors are responding accordingly, with nearly $150 million raised for state and local entities.

More people are running for office too, and they’re backing those campaigns with ActBlue’s full suite of fundraising, organizing, and compliance tools – the same trusted infrastructure that powers Presidential campaigns at a fraction of the cost.

Raise by ActBlue, ActBlue Website Builder, and ActBlue Field Tools lower the barrier to entry for down-ballot candidates, and with the addition of Donate By Bank, Call Time, and Federal Compliance, ActBlue continues to solidify its position as a one-stop shop for democracy, giving campaigns everything they need to run a high-quality, competitive operation.

Wins Within Reach

Republicans have spent months ramping up attacks on ActBlue and claiming Democratic energy is fading. Donations tell a different story. Small-dollar donors know the 2026 midterms will be decided on the margins, and ActBlue is providing the Democratic infrastructure needed to meet this moment.
