ActBlue aims to turn record-breaking midterm fundraising momentum into votes across the nation
We’re marking National Voter Registration Day by introducing Commit to Vote, a new pledge experience built for the 2026 midterms that helps the millions of supporters who’ve already given this cycle turn that energy into a plan to vote.
Why now? Because this moment demands it. While families are stretched thin by rising rent, groceries, and healthcare costs, Republicans in Washington keep finding new ways to profit from their positions through conflicts of interest and insider politics. Changing this culture is only possible if we vote this November, and we need record turnout to match the momentum small-dollar donors have already shown this cycle.
How It Works
Step 1: Make Your Pledge
After making a donation to your favorite candidate or cause as an ActBlue Express user, you will see a prompt appear on-screen asking you to commit to vote. Once you make that pledge, you can take it a step further by making it public. Share your commitment with friends and family via social media, text, or email so they know you’re in. You don’t need an ActBlue account to pledge, so anyone you share it with can make their own.
When people say out loud that they’re going to do something, they’re a lot more likely to actually follow through. It’s a small step that works.
Step 2: Build Your Plan
A pledge is a great start, but a plan is what actually gets you to the polls. That’s why Commit to Vote helps you build a simple voting plan: who you’re voting for, where your polling place is, and when you’re going. As Election Day gets closer, you’ll see a quick prompt in Donor HQ to fill this in. Over time, we’ll help you look up your candidates and find your polling location automatically.
The final piece is a reminder, sent the day before or morning of Election Day. Get it wherever works best: your calendar, your email, or a text. If you’ve already built your voting plan, the reminder will bring it with you, so there’s no scrambling to remember where to go or who you meant to support.
It’s a nudge at exactly the right moment, built to fit into your day instead of asking you to think about it in advance.
Step 3: Follow Through
Donors are already showing up for the causes and candidates they believe in. This fall, make sure that energy carries all the way to the ballot box. A pledge is easy to make. A plan is what makes it possible. Voting is what makes it real..
Take a minute today to make your Commit to Vote pledge. Build your voting plan, set a reminder, and then send it to a friend and ask them to make theirs.
