The impact from the last two years of GOP control has been destructive to our democracy. Independent oversight of our elections has come under direct pressure. The Supreme Court narrowed the protections of the Voting Rights Act. Immigration enforcement continues to escalate in ways that are costing innocent lives, including several U.S. citizens, and continue to destroy families. And the basic math of getting by keeps getting harder: gas prices are at record highs, food safety has been jeopardized, expenses pile up, and paychecks don’t stretch the way they used to.
Through all of it, the answer from MAGA Republicans have been the same: theatrics instead of solutions. No real plan for rising costs. No plan for housing. No plan for the economic anxiety millions of people are experiencing every day.
But, as we know, the distraction is the strategy. The exhaustion is the point. And waiting it out is exactly what they’re counting on.
The path forward is to vote in November and clear the way for America to take on issues that matter.
Fighting for Our Futures
Sustaining our hard-earned rights and protections carry the fingerprints of people who organized without knowing if it would work, and who gave what they could because they believed it mattered.
It isn’t a burden, but a responsibility we get to meet, with the same tools that have moved this country closer to its promise for 250 years. Registering voters. Knocking doors. Speaking out. And funding the fight with small-dollar donations to candidates and causes doing this work. That’s how people-powered movements have always turned belief into change.

What’s On The Line
This November decides more than who controls Congress. Voters will decide who draws the congressional maps for the next decade. Who runs your elections. The resources your child’s school gets. Whether your utility bill goes up. None of this is abstract, and almost none of it is decided in Washington. It’s decided in statehouses, and statehouses are on the ballot.
Two hundred fifty years in, the American experiment is still exactly that: an experiment. Never finished, never guaranteed to work, carried this far by people who showed up anyway and moved the country forward inch by inch. Every generation gets handed the unfinished work. This November, it’s our turn.
